What are your top tips for balancing work and life?

During the pandemic every remote worker received an abrupt crash course in work-life balance. I consider my girlfriend and I lucky – unlike many of our co-workers, we didn’t need to juggle children or pets on top of our jobs. We had 3 main strategies to stay balanced while working remotely: – Go for walks before, during, and after work – After 5pm, laptops closed and notifications silenced – Create a dedicated workspace that you can walk away from at the end of the day

What is something new that you learned about running a business this year?

When developing a great product, most people think the hardest part is coming up with a great idea. In reality, the hardest part is learning to say no to the 1000 other great ideas emerge once you begin building.

What is your most marked characteristic?

I’d say my restlessness. It’s hard for me to go more than a few weeks between projects without starting to begin brainstorming what’s next.

What is your motto?

“Be in the arena” – a reference to Teddy Roosevelt’s “Man In The Arena” speech

What advice would you give to yourself at 25 years old?

I’m 25 right now so this one is in the present tense – turn your phone on silent and start focusing!
