Please provide a brief description about your company.
Dollar Rent Club seeks to be the most robust, accurate, and low cost apartment rental listing site. We are the first site of its kind owned by actual apartment owners. The unique ownership structure will allow economies of scale not seen before in the apartment rental landscape.
What are your top tips for balancing work and life?
I’m beginning to think ‘balance’ is the wrong metaphor for the relationship between work and life, but I can’t think of anything better. I also find it useful to have an honest partner in life who will call me out when I’m neglecting certain areas.
What is something new that you learned about running a business this year?
Properly preparing for a meeting is sometimes more important for your business than the meeting itself.
What is a legal mistake you wish someone warned you about?
Never cut corners when writing up contracts, it will hurt you when you least expect it.
When running your business, what do you struggle with most?
I find that deciding what needs to be done today and what can be put off until tomorrow is easier said than done.
What advice would you give to yourself at 25 years old?
Drop everything and learn to code. I’m sure I would give myself the same advice today ten years from now. 🙂
