Founder’s Friday featuring Angela Fisher @ Neufluence

Angela Fisher

Please provide a brief description about your company.

We are a SaaS-based marketplace that helps brands simplify selling to multicultural customers through creator marketing and inclusive data.

Two hashtags that best describe you
#resilient #determined

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement is my ability to continually challenge myself and learn new things with an open mind. I am grateful for everything I have accomplished so far.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
I believe that happiness is leading a perfectly imperfect life, which loses joy and meaning if it is not shared with people who matter.

What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is that the idea of inclusion and equity for all will be dismantled by the negative effects of technology advancements, which is a reason why Neufluence exists.

Whom do you most admire?
I admire those who are fearless, especially fearless.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I embrace who I am – someone who is perfectly imperfectly. This journey has given me some of the best lessons of my life and I have become a better version of myself because of it.

What are your top tips for balancing work and life?
There is no easy answer to this question. I met my partner during this journey and he has had a strong influence on me balancing work and life. What I can say is to take time for yourself (without any electronics), try to get at least 7 hours of sleep each night, and remember that time is not something to take for granted.

What is something new that you learned about running a business this year?
To apply or don’t apply all of the advice and/or numerous opinions based  on what my gut tells me. And if I give more opportunities for team members to grow, they will.

What is your most marked characteristic?
Integrity.

What is your greatest regret?
Not taking more computer science courses in college.

What is your motto?
Put your energy into your passion and build a plan to get where you want to be.

What is a legal mistake you wish someone warned you about?

Get your intellectual property rights agreement signed upfront. Chasing down a signature is not fun.

When running your business, what do you struggle with most?
Time and bandwidth. There is no easy resolution to this problem.

What advice would you give to yourself at 25 years old?

Trust your gut. Never stop challenging yourself.
