What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Winning awards like “35 Under 35” or “Young Leaders in Tech” is the vanity answer, but helping early stage founders is the more admirable one.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Living on your own terms and leaving a legacy you would be proud of.
What is your greatest fear?
Living a life of regret.
Whom do you most admire?
Elon Musk for taking wild chances on himself and my parents for everything else!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My hard headedness! I often think I am right about everything and my wife proves that is just untrue.
What are your top tips for balancing work and life?
Just like you create your work schedule, one should also create their “life” schedule and stick to it! This includes working out, social life, family life, etc.
What is something new that you learned about running a business this year?
Virtual events are possible (and almost as impactful).
What is your most marked characteristic?
Perseverance. As a founder, you need a lot of this at all times. Luckily, this is in my DNA.
What is your greatest regret?
Not buying Zoom stock before the pandemic.
What is your motto?
Take your work seriously but not yourself.
What is a legal mistake you wish someone warned you about?
Not making everyone vest in my first startup or not having IP rights to code.
When running your business, what do you struggle with most?
Completing the tedious tasks that can’t be automated.
What advice would you give to yourself at 25 years old?
Invest more now.
