Incubators, Accelerators & One Amazing Demo Day
Wow! What a week! It started off by meeting four amazing startups at office hours on Tuesday at 1871 in Chicago, followed by a workshop on Wednesday in Denver to the companies in the internet of things accelerator, TechRIoT, on Legal Considerations When Seeking Investment. Later, traveled to Impact Hub Boulder and then over to BoomTown Accelerator‘s Demo Day! As always, such an amazing, inspiring, well-done event! On Thursday, I had the pleasure of speaking in front of a sold out Mom+Baby event in Chicago about pursuing your passion and making it work for you! Now, I’m rounding out the week being a guest reader for my daughter’s second grade class. It never fails, I always get nervous! I’ll negotiate a multi-million dollar deal against a team of lawyers no problem, but put me in front of a room of kids to read – a little scary! Hope to see you around town!

100+ Who Care Chicago
If you’re looking to make a big impact in a short amount of time, get involved with 100+ Who Care Chicago! Through the power of numbers, we combine our donations at quarterly events to make an immediate impact to local non-profits. The goal is to have 100+ people attend our quarterly events, with each person bringing $100 to donate to a local non-profit. The attendees each nominate a local non-profit, three are chosen at random and each pitch why the non-profit they support should win. After the pitches, the attendees vote and the winning non-profit receives all of the money raised that night! Find out how you can get involved here. Register for the next event on May 12th, 2016 here.
