What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Starting Flowspoke at 23 years old, and growing it into what it is today.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Focusing on strategic opportunities and having an awesome team to execute the day-to-day. With family nearby and chickens in the backyard.
What is your greatest fear?
Focusing too much on the details and missing the big picture. Or having a boss again.
Whom do you most admire?
Entrepreneurs who think big while still thinking of others.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d love to take more risks. I can let fear and uncertainty get the best of me.
What are your top tips for balancing work and life?
Set limits for yourself, and don’t feel guilty when one has to take priority for a bit.
What is something new that you learned about running a business this year?
While running a business in the midst of COVID-19, I’ve learned that I can truly do this from anywhere.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Enormous headphones on — always.
What is your greatest regret?
Not going with my gut when I knew better.
What is your motto?
Just take the first step.
What is a legal mistake you wish someone warned you about?
If you move your LLC to Chicago, register as a foreign entity immediately.
When running your business, what do you struggle with most?
Time. I always think I can fit way more into a day than I actually can.
What advice would you give to yourself at 25 years old?
Relax, it will work out. And outsource more of your work.
